Here is the history of our family business

When it was founded in 1958, under the impetus of Eugène Blaesi, Aprotec had four employees. Half a century later, the third generation is at the helm of the company, which now has more than 60 employees. The key words remain: reliability and efficiency.

Thanks to a competent and durable team of engineers, technicians and administrative staff Aprotec is a leader in the field of emergency lighting and energy sources.

Over the years the name Aprotec has become a real guarantee We are committed to the development, manufacture, distribution and maintenance of all our products. We offer our customers a complete service and customized solutions.

The head office is established in Geneva, but our activity extends over all Switzerland. The manufacturing of our devices is done in Geneva and Zurich.

Swiss quality

Our appliances are customized and assembled in our workshop in Carouge. What started for obvious reasons is now becoming a conviction and, we hope, a tradition. This vision has made us holders of the Swiss Made label since 2012 and we continue to believe in a responsible, local and sustainable production.

Our energy cabinets are designed and made to measure in Carouge. The know-how of our engineers and technicians allows us to adapt to all configurations that our customers may encounter. Each solution is built with excellence in mind, from concept to completion.

Swiss Label

We work exclusively with Swiss and European materials. All the components of our products are chosen according to their reliability. Our equipment and their functions are systematically and rigorously controlled by our engineers and certified by an external and independent organization.

Our 100% Swissoffer also includes stand-alone luminaires, emergency units and LED luminaires. Our great strength is to have kept an identical base for all these luminaires for more than 50 years, which allows us to ensure the durability of each installation. In fact, we carry out the standard exchange of each element from this Swiss production on a case by case basis, thus allowing financial savings and participating, since always, in the ecological effort, by recycling each of our components.

Our teams

As the third generation at the head of Aprotec, my challenge is to subtly adapt the values of the family business to our times so that these values continue to motivate all of my employees over time.

Ethics and commitments

Our mission

labyrinthe

To guarantee a lighted way out of the building in case of extraordinary situation. To remain discreet in normal times, but visible in case of need while complying with the standards in force in Switzerland. This is the commitment we make to you.

Business and environmental ethics

main

In addition to offering you services adapted to your needs, we make it a point of honour to ensure that your exchanges with our collaborators are carried out in conditions that respect business ethics.

Always attentive to the ecological impact, Aprotec is a responsible company as much in its values as in its business models. Favouring short circuits by manufacturing our energy cabinets locally in Carouge, being conscientious about the materials used, their treatment and recycling, and encouraging our teams to behave in an environmentally friendly manner are examples of actions that we carry out on a daily basis.

Social ethics

bonhommes equitable 1

Our main concern is to provide all our employees with a working environment in which they feel comfortable every day. We work in different ways to create a work atmosphere that generates team spirit and a cordial understanding. Always open to requests, we are particularly attentive to the material conditions of work : all good work is done with good tools ! We are also happy to offer ongoing training to help the various career paths flourish. The longevity of careers within the company is now a testimony to the well-being of our employees and we update our internal policy as much as possible to offer the most pleasant and serene working conditions possible.

Aware of the social stakes, we implement an equal opportunity policy by favoring minorities in order to offer the richness of diversity and the widest representation within the company. By collaborating with the EPI (public establishment for integration), we are working to give everyone a place in the world of work.

Cooperation and partners

The challenges and priorities taken in consideration in our collaborations are the following:

  • Expertise
  • Local
  • Social and environmental commitment

Established in the heart of Carouge for more than 60 years, it is important for us not only to maintain our network of local skills and expertise,

but also to ensure the responsible commitment of our employees. We provide our employees with sports and everyday clothing. In this context, we established a partnership with Patagonia more than ten years ago; a company with which we share the same values: product quality, social ethics, innovation, excellence, strong ecological awareness and end-of-life recycling.
We have always been keen to help and highlight young Swiss entrepreneurs, artists and sportsmen. Find below the list of these talented and energetic young people supported by Aprotec:

Artists and young entrepreneurs
Vladimir Tisma

Vladimir Tisma

« Have you ever wondered how differently you would perceive the world if you were colorblind?

Valdimir Tisma, a young photographer from the French part of Switzerland, has based his artistic creations and his style on this question. Being colorblind himself, the artist combines his unique way of perceiving colors with a standard vision of colors in one medium. Vladimir sets himself apart as an artist by revealing a world that the usual perception does not allow to see.

Gilles Money

Gilles Monney

“An amateur photographer since the fall of 2008, I specialize in the mountain landscape at night and in photos of solitude. These two themes come together and reflect a desire to transcribe a certain purity and contemplation of Nature. Integrating myself into the landscape is a way to call the viewer to immerse himself in the image, to invite him to enter into a meditative contemplation and to feel in communion with Nature.” (G. Monney)

“A graphic designer by profession, I am passionate about printing processes and everything related to the finishing of paper, which is what led me to experiment with linocut. The printing is entirely handmade, which makes each print unique, with variations in inking that sometimes let the grain of the paper show through.” (Maron S.)
