Presentation of the building

LThe Neuchâtel sliding complex is located in the Maladière district, between the football stadium and the lake. At the beginning of the century, the facilities were expanded with the installation of a second covered playing surface. Today, the center includes two ice rinks and a curling hall. It goes without saying that all the necessary infrastructures for their use are available. IA dozen changing rooms are available, as well as a fitness center, a restaurant and a bar. The main ice rink, which underwent an upgrade of its emergency lighting facilities in 2015, has bleachers that can accommodate up to 6500 seats. The players of the 1st league and the juniors of the Neuchâtel HC University club skate there during the field hockey season. Nevertheless, the complex is often used for various events. Concerts, exhibitions, banquets and other sports events are held there. At the end of December, young people from the region gather there to celebrate the passage to the new year.
Between 2017 and 2018, an installation of more than a thousand solar panels on the roof of the complex was undertaken to provide 100% renewable electricity. Thus, it is one third of the energy consumption of the complex that is covered by these new installations.

Emergency lighting concept

The emergency lighting concept for the main ice rink is based on the use of three energy cabinets. They will take over in case of a power failure and supply the various emergency lighting installations. In addition, each one has an inverter that will regulate the power and thus avoid any malfunctioning. Powerful spotlights have been placed above the exits to illuminate them in case of failure. Cubes and large flags have been placed to indicate the escape routes in case of evacuation. . In view of the sometimes tense environment in this area and in order to protect the luminaires from impact, some of the luminaires were fitted with a protective grid. All of our devices use LED technology This technology allows us to offer long-lasting and energy-efficient installations, in line with the expectations of our time and the desire to provide environmentally friendly products.
