Emergency lighting concept
As the original energy cabinets had become obsolete, Aprotec successfully met the challenge of completely updating the installation with current technologies without interfering with the daily operation of the facility.
More than 40 emergency lighting substations as well as a supervisory station and a control panel were replaced with 24 VDC energy cabinets supervised by a WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM.
During these changes, the existing wiring topology was taken into account for the communication between the cabinets.
The original functions have been taken over in their entirety and additional menus have been added to facilitate maintenance work. The possibility of inserting divisional stations in the network for future adaptations has also been implemented.
has also been implemented. The possibility of inserting divisional stations in the network for future adaptations has also been implemented.
Thanks to this state-of-the-art system, any faults in the substations can be identified very quickly.
It is also possible to activate autonomy tests via the supervision and function tests per zone or as a whole. In addition to emergency lighting, the system also manages zone evacuations based on fire detection (FD) and smoke outlet controls.
